ETA: HAA I broke it. Working on fixing it. LOL.

....back to our regularly scheduled programming....

well, as some of you may know already, my new niece was born on nov. 11th. We'll never forget her birthday!!

I've been so excited to try making a diaper cake, and i finally had a good excuse. I'll definitely be doing it again as chance comes up... it was so much fun!

For not much more than a prettied up pack of diapers, I think it's really nice! There are some goodies I stuck inside as 'surprises' but you get the idea.


The last photo in the group is of the collage I made of Vivien's first photoshoot (LOL). She was three days old and I've framed a print of this for her parents. Her mother wanted to get some professional photos done, but they decided to just take the best ones from family. I thought it made a great opportunity to practice my skillz! Which are mostly nonexistent, lol! Super Amateur here.

Anyways, I am also shamelessly using this journal post to try out css layouts. So please bear with me as I try a bunch of new things I've not done before!!

hmm okay here goes.
1. I can be extremely shy and hermit-like... i don't get out of the house very much except for work. Every once in a while though I get a social butterfly bug and need to be around people again.

2. I cannot wear contact lenses, much as I would like to. When I was a kid I got something in my eye and scratched WAY too much and actually damaged my corneas. The doctors thought I had a brain tumor cause I couldn't look at the light.

3. I used to know the city bus system so well that my sister nicknamed me 'The Bus Guru'. I don't know it as well anymore, cause I usually get a ride most places and don't gallavant around town on random routes anymore... although that used to be a LOT of fun on a boring day.

4. In high school I was in every choir possible (my second year that meant 3 different groups), until I switched schools and ended dropping out of the choral program due to personality differences with the instructor.. I was also was involved with cadets, where I learned how to march (great life lesson ) and also how to play the bagpipes. Well, I can't say I ever learned properly but I could fake it pretty damn well.

5. Even given all of #4, I can't read music. I learn it all by ear.

6. I am really really freaky about checking my email. I check it all super often unless I'm at work.

7. I have a little girl who is 4, from my previous marriage. She spends most of her time with her dad so I don't see her as much as I'd like, which is why there aren't very many pictures of her up here. I usually spend my time WITH her, not taking pictures of her.

8. I am a copy centre nerd. I have gone back to this job twice, and I'm always happy to be back. It's amazing how satisfying I find working there, something about creating something out of an idea, or making somebody's portfolio look awesome, or designing business cards/wedding stationary (not that I do much of this anymore) that is extremely satisfying. But I'll stop rambling on about it, haha!
